Joyce's multi-talented sports career, which included striking out Ted Williams at the plate, was reenacted in Japan during the World Softball Championship. She also earned LPGA victories. Additionally, setting a world record for the fewest putts. The article highlights a new journey to FAU, in which she began recruiting players, teaching fundamentals, and transforming a lifetime of excellent activism into coaching and program development.

The Underground Owl: Students Protest President Williams' Dismissal of Atlantic Sun Editors Members of the Underground Owl newspaper and 200 fellow students protested the removal of the editors of the Atlantic Sun and the creation of an administrative version of the newspaper by burning the administrative newspaper in a bonfire started on campus.

Joyce led the program from 1994 to 2022. Inducted 20 times into multiple Halls of Fame: the National Fastpitch Coaches, the Association Hall of Fame, and the Florida Sports Hall of Fame. She famously struck out baseball legends Ted Williams and Hank Aaron in exhibition games.
